MADNESS ON THE ROOF main character design

In 17-18th century France, a street performer and his assistant live together. But the aristocrats are the ones who suffer for it

Street performer- Eleanor- is a young, very eccentric and slight crazy man, who is nevertheless a master of his craft. The common people and other artists adore him, but the nobility and aristocrats can't stand him, because he often makes fun of them, despite being of lower social standing. Taking aristocrat's hat for a while, being insolent to the nobility, and then running away from guards and mad officials- that's all in a day's work for him, almost like a hobby. Moreover the guards themselves are lauthing at this and don't want to punish him severely.

Assistant- Joseph- is his complete opposite. This is a 14-year-old boy who often runs after him, trying to get him out of trouble, but often participating in his escapes. he is timid, more "sensible" and fears the consequences for Eleanor. Despite the troubles, he often learns tricks from him and recalls these chases with laughter. If absolutely nothing happens in a day, Joseph gets uneasy.

PUPPET THEATRE OF XAVIER MOREAU puppet character designs

At the very beginning of the 19th century, a talented artist and writer- Xavier Moreau- opened his own puppet theater in France. Xavier was really obsessed by his theater, his art, and his sick perfectionism. His performans, with a strange, but message stories was very popular. But, now people seem to be annoyed by these dolls. However, Moreau still had fans. One of them- Eleanor Marie- really loved his art, and came to that magical place to help him. But she noticed, that in this theater all dolls were alive.

Marie- Josepha- conservative doll, who obsessed with idealism, perfection, and manners. She was based on 18th sentury fashion 

Theodore- a chimney sweep child, who is touchy and grumpy, because of his work and unpleasabt attitude towards him

Jacques- a charismatic and popular, but hypocritical and arrogantmagician and ringmaster

Batiste- charismatic, rude, "bad guy', who really loves to play bandits and even devils, but he also veru creative doll, who is trying express himself 

Dorothe- a sad ballerina, who can jistify absolutely any act- even a horrific one- simply by hearing a sad backstory and believing it.

Antoine- an angelic doll, with religious simbolism, who is very skittish and afraid to fly. He was a new one, but was temporary broken on his debut.
